“I found out that I could sing when I was about 13 years old… at pleasant ridge baptist church…and they asked me to lead this song in the choir and I led this song and it was like God was telling me or showing me that my voice was my connection with people. I felt very disconnected and alone with my albinism, the genetic condition called albinism and I found at the age of 13 that music was the way that I could be accepted and a part of the community”
